Re 6/35a I find it strange that if a verandah is out of charachter with the area then what about the new play area, it spoils a historic bridge. Not to mention the plants that have been pulled up and dumped by the river,destroying the grass verge that was already there!!
I have to agree with the previous comment about the new play area. The new equipment is garish and out of keeping with its surroundings by a historic bridge and a grazing field. Surely the Parish Council should be responsible for preserving the visual environment, not detracting from it.
As the parent of a young child who used the old play area on a regular basis, I am also concerned that the new play area is VERY close to the road where it narrows for the bridge.
I was positive about the scheme in principle, but I'm not at all convinced by what I have seen so far.
