The christmas lights last year were great, offering a bright display of colour while looking very trendy & modern, plus a well liked change compared with the traditional lights we typically have year after year. Furthermore the new lights posed a very popular & interestin subject of talk between the villagers.
Aberford is a small village located around 8 miles to the north-east of Leeds (West Yorkshire, England) and is home to just over 600 households.
Aberford is linear in shape, which is because was on what was 'The Great North Road'. The road was built by the Romans and connects London to York, and carries on up to Newcastle. Aberford was a coaching stop on the road and evidence of the coach houses can be seen today with large arches incorporated within many houses in the village.
