Results of Garforth Away Day 15th August 2007
Despite the absence of our esteemed secretary (visiting his Iberian abode) the organisation of the day (taken on by Commander Seaton) was up to its usual standard and yet again the weather was good to us. Biddles managed to remember the code to his electric gates and was able to participate. Another good turnout enabled the society to ensure a competitive day with Simon Fabry (39 points) winning, Chris Adams (36) and Mike Biddles - he of the gate - (34) taking silver and bronze. John Wharton was in a strong position but fell foul of a knee injury and had to retire whilst in the lead . Vice Captain Chris Adams (longest drive and a two) and Captain Tom Keeney (nearest the pin and a two) took advantage of the Laird's absence to take the availabe cash pot - no surprise there then !!
