Society day at Harrogate 20/6/08
Seventeen members and two guests provided the field for the second qualifying day of the season. In the absence of the Secretary,, who was playing on Spanish Soil, Paul Fryer oganised the day in a manner which belied his absence from full time employment for so long, it must be something to do with all the holidays!! With regard to the golf third place went to the Captain (33 points after countback), in silver medal position was Big Rod Farquhar also with 33 but the days winner was Simon Fabry with 35 points. Big Rod also picked up the swag by having the only two of the day whilst Glen Hopkinson hit the longest drive apparently hitting it with all he frustration built up b slow play!
