The Arabian Horse
The Arabian Horse is a popular village pub, located adjacent
to the ‘picture postcard’ Aberford village green, close to
the beck and children’s play area.
We are the only pub in the country with the name ‘Arabian
Horse’, which dates back to the arrival of Arabian Horses
in this country for the racehorse bloodstock. They were stranded
in Aberford due to bad weather and everyone, for several miles,
came to see the ‘Arabs'. The name was changed from the Bay
Horse to the Arabian Horse from then on.
We have a lovely old fireplace and a huge open fire welcomes
everyone during cold weather. We have a small snack food offer,
but are a ‘wet’ based trade, where friends old & new regularly
meet. The Quiz Night is extremely popular. A friendly welcome
awaits all our customers |
