The site was built to enhance our community and
help develop the village both culturally and economically.
We believe that Aberford has got a lot to offer
its residents, but sadly many people don't take advantage of Aberford's
many organisations and businesses because they aren't aware of them.
Our aim is to help people find out about all the events, clubs,
sports, faiths, businesses and many other things in Aberford.
Although we have created a framework for the site
and added some initial content for it, we hope that the site will
evolve through contributions for you - the people of Aberford. So
don't be shy send something in whether it's a photograph of the
village in the past for the history section, details of your club,
or information about a forth coming event in the village we want
to help you tell the rest of the village about it.
The site is a non-profit making entity. Inclusion
on the site is free and we encourage you to add to the site. There
is a nominal charge of £10 a year for businesses to advertise
on the site. All proceeds from this will go back into the village
and we will publish an annual account of our funds - beginning June
2002.
